guys ive tried many 718 servers is there an item in 718+ like th eperfect ring that 1 hit kills becasue i cant find it or is there a item like that or how do i make an item like that if there isnt any

You can easly edit the stats of am iteom, mostly everyone chooses "773" which is the Perfect ruby ring. just go to data->items->bonuses->773.txt and edit the stats you want. compile and run, if no stats changed. run server with an IDE like Eclipse.

EDIT: I will re upload for you since the links seem to be broken. Just be sure to give King Fox credit, he spent A Lot of time on this.

I just have to say, I GREATLY appreciate your release.

One thing that would nice to get help with, is why other clients do not connect using this source.

I've tried at least 3 different (known to be working) 718 clients, I've set everything correctly, sub_rev, rev, ports, ip everything so its not that.

I know you've released a client with this source, and yes it works, but using another client, might fix the crashes. For I, cannot enter OpenGL mode in the client posted. If I cannot access OpenGL, I'm going to assume others will have the same problem. It gets to the point where the client works, but then there's other times where it just crashes at login.

Other than that, great release man. Thanks.

I plan to use this source and make a nice rsps community and server with it. Credits will be given.

EDIT: I've googled, and looked through numerous forums and posts. I've even used the search history shit, and I cannot find out why other clients will not work with this source.

I'm willing to pay $30 to anybody who can explain to me, why other clients are not working (besides the fact of the sub_rev, rev, port, ip, and that type of shit) being correct.

I'm willing to pay $75 for anybody who can provide a 100% fix to the crashes. I can't have this server crashing when it starts to build a community.

    EDIT:

For those of you who still want to use this source, but with another client. I've determined why it wasn't working with any other client. I recently downloaded another source, and I wanted to set it up with the port 43595, seeing that was port forwarded, and shit was already running on it like that. I changed the port within the server to 43595, and then in all of my 718 clients (in loader.java) (those that I was trying to get running with Rune-Evo's source). When I tried to connect with those clients to the running server, it did not connect.

This made me think, well how come... I ended up switching back to port 43594 in the server, but I kept the port 43595 in the clients loader.java. Guess what happened next. With the server running on port 43594, and the client SUPPOSED to be loading on port 43595, the client allowed me to connect and log into the server, which tells me the reason the other clients were not working, was because all other clients were still connecting to port 43594, and not the server port of 43595.

In other words, you have two options to run another client w/ this server:

    A. find the other variable (probably in another java file), that over rides the port in loader.java, keeping the client connected to 43594 and change it to 43595

    B. Change the server port to 43594, and use any client u want :).

    EDIT:
OK, so I just wanted to add an update for you ALL, incase you are having the same problems. I have a 64-bit PC and Operating System, thus I have Program Files/Program Files (x86). I have multiple instances of java downloaded. Most of my java is located in Program Files, but there is one located in Program Files (x86).

I ended up switching the client runner.bat with the java located in the (x86) and it seemed to allow me to enter OpenGL, further more, I've learned that a jared client allows me to enter OpenGL.

My Java Versions in Program Files:
    JDK1.7.0_65
    JDK1.8.0_25
    JRE1.8.0_25

My Java Versions in Program File (x86):
    JRE1.8.0_40

OpenGL fixes ALL problems (crashing in parts of the map/item clarity (better visible view of customs/etc) with another server that I used instead of this source (BoomScape). OpenGL is key to running a successful 718, so I'm putting this out there to help others who cannot enter OpenGL mode.

Any which way, its path problems in your system.

On the downside, however, I will no longer be using this source. Very nice release though. Thanks a lot! As for that user who says "we are not a spoon feeding community" what happened when you were a nub at this stuff? You were looking for help as well. Helping others, doesn't mean ur spoon feeding them all the time, it means they are learning how code works. Cause they will relies that this is how you do something and try understanding it.

    This is a java error.

    Try installing 64 bit.

If you have 64 bit, install x86.

If that doesn't work, try updating or downgrading your jdk/jre version.

If your still having issues getting your client to properly connect to the server...

I use JDK1.7.0_71  with the JRE7 that gets installed with it. I make sure the server and client ports match!

    JDK1.7.0_71 Download:
    (click to show/hide)

In the clients loader.java, w/o needing to edit your server ports...

       public static final int SERVER_PORT = 43595;
       public static final int REVISION = 718;
public static final int SUB_REVISION = 1; <-super important setting on the client, if it's not 1 this will break the client ever connecting!

Using the default installation path for the JDK1.7.0_71 and the JRE7... Never had a problem with the client crashing ever. Always make sure the pathing is directly to what it needs to connect to! Also make sure the server compiler and run batch files have the matching paths exactly like the client. I found this removes the bulk of issues in connectivity and also makes sure it's using the correct form of java on both ends.

    Client compiler path
    "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_71\bin\javac"

    Client run.bat path
    "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java"

After all that is done your client and server should connect w/o a problem. Only need to change the ip in the client for a friend to connect outside of the server network!

    -side note

Anyone know how to add level requirements to items? Not sure where to add or find the code. I've check in ItemDefinitions.java & ItemConstants.java tried adding a few different methods in but never got it to compile and then work. Any suggestions or help is appreciated!
