camelot 474
    Download: Package - Mediafire

The reason behind releasing this is that I have started a 530.
I have put a very very basic anti leech that anyone with a brain should be able to fix it. Feel free to post the fix for the anti leech.
I do NOT give anyone permission to release/post this anywhere else.
The base used for this is Project Insanity - Normal PI - All Dupes fixed. by Jack
If you  wish to check out the development for more info, Camelot - Bring back the good days of private server's
NOTE: Some of the content that is red is already added but is the normal PI one ( I never got around to re-writing it ).

    Anti-leech fix:
For those who wish to leech.. xD

add a "}" at the end of the server.java file

If you don't know what spell that is, it's enchant.

I wanted to learn to code on the server, so basically you posted a unusable source.

That's just the thing, an Anti-leech makes the programmer look and learn the error. So figure it out, then it'll be usuable.

Once someone finds the anti leech feel free to post it on this thread and this thread only! I will then add it in the thread!

I've never understood anyone's need to add an "anti leech" to a source, if you're going to release it fudgeing release it don't be an arsehole towards the newer members of the community.

they will only learn if they actually try. If you hand them the piece of candy unwrapped they will gobble it down, if you hand it to them tied/wrapped they will have to take the time to unwrap it.
    I just don't care anymore.

That's possibly the worst excuse for this I've heard in my life. It's pathetic to deliberately put errors in your code to throw beginners off of launching your work which you released for public. If they want to use your work that you released then let them, don't make it difficult for them. It's hard enough getting a server to go anywhere these days never mind having to solve petty errors that people deliberately leave in work.

How would people like it if website designers started releasing templates with portions of code missing or if I started releasing scripts with errors through them so that databases could be exploited?

I'm not sure what website development sites you've been looking at but in my 5 years of interest in the subject I could count on one hand the amount of times I've seen that happen. People release insecure scripts due to lack of knowledge, not out of being completely unreasonable towards users who aren't good enough to solve things

when was the last time you honestly went through that topic Ruby? He actually admits in a couple of posts that he "cba to fix it up" yet then he goes and fixes his own up. So go figure he? If a developer can't be assed to fix his web release that is injectable that kind of defeats your argument...

    On topic:

For those who wish to leech.. xD

add a "}" at the end of the server.java file

also put this in your compiler (remember to use whatever java version you have...)

    Code: [Select]
    @echo off
    "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_17\bin\javac.exe" -classpath deps/log4j-1.2.15.jar;deps/jython.jar;deps/xstream.jar;deps/mina.jar;deps/mysql.jar;deps/poi.jar;deps/slf4j.jar;deps/slf4j-nop.jar -d bin src\server\event\*.java src\server\model\items\*.java src\server\model\minigames\*.java src\server\model\npcs\*.java src\server\model\objects\*.java src\server\model\players\*.java src\server\model\players\skills\*.java src\server\model\players\packets\*.java src\server\model\shops\*.java src\server\net\*.java src\server\task\*.java src\server\util\*.java src\server\world\*.java src\server\util\log\*.java src\server\*.java src\server\world\map\*.java src\server\model\players\skills\crafting\*.java src\server\model\players\skills\fletching\*.java src\server\clip\*.java src\server\clip\region\*.java src\server\model\quest\*.java src\server\model\content\*.java
    pause

    =win

I just hope he will supply a run/compiler for the client :s

No it doesn't at all, how can a mature person such as yourself possibly see it see it as that. That is in no where near the same as what this is and all you're doing is arguing for arguments sake. People who include anti leech in their work are defeating the purpose of releasing it in the first place, your argument on the highscores is completely out of context for this so I have no idea at all as to why you even thought to bring that into here. He didn't deliberately leave his script injectable, he wasn't skilled enough at that time to secure it. Not releasing updated versions of scripts is nothing to do with releasing it with DELIBERATE errors in. I can't believe someone would be so dim witted to actually suggest something like that.
