    ..
Hey I never said anything about the lift, just the legs lol
Eh I'll wear it. You're totally right haha. For what it's worth though as I said, my right leg is significantly more muscly than my left. Broken femur/torn ACL will do that too a leg, hahah.

Yz85Racer, but you do train legs right? If not for size, still strength?

I always had leg days, but for a long time I only did isolated exercises - meaning no squat and no leg press. This approach did build strength and also some size, but after a while I just had to put more serious mass on my legs. Squats and leg press did the job.

I have 16" calves and 23" thighs, is this good? 191lbs @ 13% BF. I think 24-24.5" thighs would be the maximum, bigger than that... already too big legs I think.
Ofcourse I train legs. I squat about 6-7 times a week, and heavy.

My training program is very Olympic lifting based. Squat heavy 6-7 times a week (not always back squats, half and half fronts/wide stance), deadlift heavy twice a week, bench twice a week. Pull ups every day, clean and jerk once a week, OHP twice a week. Literally all my weight training consists of.

My 'accessory' work is nothing but things like deficit deadlifts, weighted pull ups, etc.

Guess I can't make a post like this without posting some updated numbers.
Numbers as of my last post (28th Jan)
    Quote
    DL: 505lb x 3 rep
    Bench: 285lb x 3 rep
    Squat: 430lb x 3 rep
    Power Clean: 200lb x 3 rep

Numbers as of last training week (finished last Friday)
    DL: 600lb x 1 rep
    Bench: 305lb x 1 rep
    Squat: 440lb x 1 rep (stalling a lot ?)
    Power Clean: 220lb x 1

Squats are really stalling out. Not too worried, squatting heavy every single day isn't the greatest way to increase your squats but it is too increase everything else. I am sure when I stop my current training cycle (end of next week) and take my week off to recover and reset the CNS my squats should jump.

Danabol was a REALLY bad idea, i am lucky to have left it quick without consuming too much. I did a bit more reaearch after taking decesions like a retard.. Even though acne hit me bad it wasn't long enough to do more harm.  :palm:

Food calories is what i need here to gain weight and mass .. Wouldn't use protein shakes either , that shit is nasty. (helped me from 54kg to 64kg over a year+ though which is nice i guess )

You really need to read up on steroid use. It's not a bad thing, perse. It's stupid if you're young in my opinion (Even tho I was gonna cycle but thought against it). Either way, there's proper and "safe" usage terms, take them into account. Without proper PCT you'll fudge yourself up beyond belief.

Read up on supplementation, too. If you're looking for weight gain then don't tank 19 protein shakes a day, there's so many better ways to go about it. If you want a higher caloric intake then look at mass gainers, there's often upwards of 1000 calories in a serving. This is a pretty good shout from what I've heard/read.

If you're looking to properly improve your body and fitness then it takes a lot of research, not just "Oh, I seen this guy using C4 so I'll do it too". Under certain circumstances you take certain supplements, whether it be for energy, protein, water retention or whatever. If you ask here and be patient I think most of us could help, I've tried most of the well known brands and know quite a bit when it comes to using supps so I'm 99% sure the likes of Yz85 (who I'm sure studies nutrition for some reason idk why im thinking that), Enforcer, Frell etc have too.

Any roid questions can probably be fired at Aaron since his arse is like a dartboard im pretty sure he can help you with those.

The only problem is because i'm still at a young age, as they said my body is still under development so it is not recommended to use unless you are 21+ so you won't fudge up the body growth as i read it.

As with gaining weight was always a problem to me, It's just i don't eat enough, It's not as easy as it seems. That's why i chose protein shakes first to help me out but as i said even though it helped i felt disgusted drinking it anymore after finishing just half of the bag, Drinking the rest of it forcefully almost puking.

I am doing much better than before where i had no meat but bones on me, But i still could do alot better. And steroids are a no for me for sure..

For the supplements, try a different flavour. For example: I love strawberries and even most of my smoothies etc are all strawberry yoghurt based but I fudgeing hate strawberry flavoured shakes. I resort to Banana usually, if that's not available I turn to chocolate if I really have to.

You should also try replacing the water with milk, you'll find it easier to drink more than likely.

I only tried with milk once, It was easier to drink but "heavier" overall somehow. I can try a different flavor indeed, I'm sick of "cookies and cream" ( mutant mass ) i can't even eat oreos anymore because it reminds me of that .. thing. But yeah thanks, i think i'll try out chocolate maybe. Any other brands that you might suggest? I don't think i ever heard of that hench around here. I don't like ordering edible things online.

so I'm 99% sure the likes of Yz85 (who I'm sure studies nutrition for some reason idk why im thinking that)
I study Engineering/Computer Science. But I have finished my personal training qualification, for what it's worth. I just never worked as a personal trainer. I did it because I needed to be studying something while living at the Australian Institute of Sport, and at the time it was the only thing there that interested me. My knowledge of nutrition comes from being a professional athlete since the age of 16, and lots of personal research prior to getting there.

Either way, If you're looking to properly improve your body and fitness then it takes a lot of research, not just "Oh, I seen this guy using C4 so I'll do it too". Under certain circumstances you take certain supplements, whether it be for energy, protein, water retention or whatever.
Could not of worded this any better myself. Well put. Best way I can put it myself, is to remember it's called a supplement for a reason. As far as the roid discussion goes, I avoid those conversations like the plague. I don't care if someone chooses to use roids, the only one thing we have true ownership over is our body - do with yours what you please. But I have had conversations with people who take test etc and I usually get the same reply "it increases the test in my body so more muscles!!!!" - before you go ahead and pump yourself full of testosterone, have you considered increasing your testosterone naturally? Squat before every training session, you'd be amazed at how much a compound movement like the squat actually releases GH.

Fitness is something you really do have to take seriously if you expect to improve. You have to be fairly committed, that includes constantly researching, trying new things, listening to all advice and then deciding if it's useful or not. Set yourself a goal, do you want to bulk up? Lose fat? Run 8 miles without breaking a sweat? Each goal will have different methods of accomplishing them, find what is going to help you reach your goals. One thing I will say though; don't fall into the "more is better" mindset.. In terms of training, quality is ALWAAAAAAYS better than quantity. Somewhat hypocritical given that I personally train 4-5 times a day, but remember I have been training seriously since I was 10 years old.

    How's training been going brahs?

Coming up on my 2nd last week of my split; here's some updated numbers.
    DL: 625lb x 1 rep
Bench: 325lb x 1 rep (very easy, easily had a second)
Squat: 450lb x 1 rep (still stalling a bit on squat)
    Power Clean: 235lb x 1

Found a weakness in my squat. Struggling a lot out of the hole (I squat very deep), with a fairly low bar. Have switched to much higher bar placement and feeling a lot smoother, although my numbers haven't improved the way the weight feels has tremendously, it's no longer a grind/half a good morning out of the hole LOL.

After this split not expecting too much progress. Racing is starting soon so time to start focusing on that, off season was all about building some strength.

Been training a lot harder recently, focused a lot on cardio after my knee injury and im on 3 6 milers a week just now along with a 3 day gym split going. Getting my body near looking not bad again, around 18% BF which isn't bad considering the weight I put on after the injury and no training for almost 6 months. Predicting being down around the 12-14% mark by the time I go on holiday which is around the end of august so still a long hard way to go but making good progress.

TL;DR still looking like a soggy waterballoon however less of a soggy waterballoon and will be shreddedbrah by the time august comes.
