    Fender stripes or no?

I'd say yes for the added horsepower
Perhaps on the rare occasion pursuing the right course demands an act of piracy, piracy itself can be the right course.

That type of mini is what I use to drive around in Mini reunions.

The picture is what I use when the weather's nice and I don't have to drive friends around.

And I usually drive around in a 22 year old VW Golf :p

Got any photos of the mk1 golf mate?

I've had a mk4 and mk6 gti but never managed to get my hands on the mk1 yet. I'd trade my astra in a minute for a decent one.

Not to mention that 6.2L gets like, 13mpg? 26/36gal tank and over $4/gal in CA you're looking at one expensive ass truck.
Again, duh.  You don't buy a truck to get good gas mileage.   Oh, also, 2014 dodge ram:
I love how everyone assumes this is the 90's and trucks still get 10 mpg.

That image is for the new V6 EcoDeisel engine with the new 8 speed transmission. The Pentastar V6 only gets 17/25. For comparison: the EcoBoost engine in the F-150 gets 15/21. The standard V6 gets 16/21, the standard V8 gets 14/19 and the 6.2L in the Raptor gets 11/16.

So its not exactly 10mpg, but keeping the same engine size and power, there is very little improvement since then.

I've had friends with chipped/programmed diesels get 25MPG around town (According to the programmer display usually). A little bit of tuning and you could get better gas mileage.

I keep forgetting that 1983 was over 30 years ago. I still imagine a mk1 being like 20 years old, lol. But I think you're mistaking your car for a mk2 if it's 22 years old, if the car is 22 years old it'll be one of the last mk2's produced before the mk3 came in for it's reign. Mk2 is 1983-1992 and mk3 is 1993-2001 iirc

Still hell of a lot better than in the 90s when everything got below 10.  I love the looks of older dodges, it's a shame the mpg is so shit.  :(

No shit.. you can tell just by the picture. That's my plans tho. Ford still rules fudge your toyota fudge your dodge fudge chevy fudge rice. Ford. I enjoy my 17 mpg and kicking ass.

But you don't kick ass in a Ford, and Ford doesn't rule. In case you didn't see it, this video explains it all fairly accurately with statistics and facts.

Definitely not. GM and Dodge took the bailout in 2008 (that's one they hate to hear!  ;)). Ford is the only company who, only did not need the money, but didn't take the bailout. And that my friends is a true american company. Dodges transmission and body are built as if they wiped their ass on the blueprints and just built it that way. The hemi and cummins engines are great though. Chevy's are okay all around. But sadly they do not come close to the head of the game Ford.

    my astra > ford

(even tho vauxhall is owned by GM but shhh)

but saying that fiat owns ferrari and vauxhalls are better than every fiat ever made so does that mean my astra is also better than a ferrari? Yes it does.
