May I suggest adding a mod to ease the 'Report to moderator' process, such as having preset options of most likely broken rules consisting of unnecesary flame, spam, or gravedigging.

    Suggestion.
Make or aquire a "post listener" which can detect spam (less than 10 characters long, repeated words, or specific words, posting in an old topic). Then if the "Report to Moderator" is used and the post falls under one of these criteria the topic can be automatically locked or the poster warned.

The only active moderators I see are Taharok, M.dog, and Scarecrows, though every once in a while I see Telenubby and Tree pop by.

It would have to be incredibly advanced and complex to bypass any possible hoodwinking people could do to it. Something as simple as you specified is incredibly easy to hoodwink, so that would be out of the question. The point is, it would be just too difficult to develop that kind of system.

Or we can have this no-life freak do it himself. ;)

I looked over some mods over on simplemachines, and there are a few attempts at this system. The thing is, any system that may work must go through the tedious process required for a mod to go through before being installed on this forum. Even if it were approved, which I highly doubt, it wouldn't be installed for a good 4-6 weeks after being approved.

If it were to be the moderators, then paying for it would be a waste. At most we'd have two on at a time.

In addition to the filter system Taharok has created, perhaps some of the tutorials that the moderators feel don't belong in the tutorial section, may go into the 'Code Snippet' thread.

Maybe, but the user whose tutorial was denied could simply post in there themselves.

I suggest you add 'gtfo' to the chat filter. I'm so sick of seeing that everywhere...

I don't agree with either. 'Gtfo' isn't really used that much..and I don't agree with the posting idea because that increases spam across the forum.

    Here is a suggestion:

Remind all of the idiots here that telling people to use the search bar isn't spam. Around 5 people have accused me of 'spamming' for telling owners of topics to use the search bar. I only tell them to search when I have seen the thread asked + answered on previous threads.
