Adjusting how much power is gone into hardware?
    « on: July 12, 2014, 04:23:29 PM »
I was wondering if there is a way I can send more power to my USB ports.

    Will they still work?

I wanted to do this because say I was charging my phone, my USB ports on my computer do not send enough power as my wall socket would.

Check BIOS, I doubt it will be there though.

<Lesterknome> i meant to say you can increase voltage to charge faster

    It's not in BIOS.

It's up to the external device to communicate over the data pins to request more power. If the charger provides more power but ur computer doesn't then ur hardware simply doesn't support it (or it needs to be enabled in bios, but that's unlikely). Try a powered usb hub.
