I've been looking everywhere on how to get a source and client, most that i found were broken or didn't even contain a tutorial on how to set it up, so i end up looking for another one. I don't have allot of experience doing this and at this rate i'll never be able to get the experience needed, i can't figure out what you want us to do with all the files and where to set which file and how to do everything needed to start the server, just so i can practice.
How hard is it to make a tutorial on how to set up the files that you edited. Isn't that what a forum is for? All i see is people bragging about the stuff they made and how you should do something after you have a server up and running. Why are there so many of those topics, but when it comes to getting a server running with intellij, which is the recommended IDE to use (that's all i got out of searching the whole web), then there's next to nothing to find about it. Only thing that you can find are old tutorials that don't make sense because the files that you downloaded, DO NOT HAVE ANY OF THE FILES MENTIONED IN THE TUTORIAL!
I'm working with Intellij, and the server and client files i've downloaded so far have allot of errors in them. These errors are nothing simple, they're classes set as data types which are not declared anywhere in the project, these classes don't exist. How is no one mentioning this? Am i the only one that finds this frustrating? Shouldn't a client and server be posted with a tutorial from the OP, isn't he responsible to do that, at least?
How are new people suppose to learn and get into coding if there's such a big mountain of sh*t that they have to go through before they can start the learning progress?
