    Never worked with them to be honest, they're probably too good to be true.

    Highly doubt that, I've been in the industry for years and in my experience with colo'ing and / or renting servers is I'd say pretty seasoned.

    IMO the first thing you should look at is are the dedicated servers customization-enabled builds, can you add additional IPs without getting them leased ( at the 1.00 or below rate, ) and because it's in florida, I'd look and see how the Hurricanes might affect that particular area in the past few years and in the future. I lived in Jacksonville FL, and I can tell you when I ran my servers at a colo in Metro - downtown a hurricane busted all the windows and my servers were inaccessible even if I drove over there. & it stayed that way for a week or two, which could be costly to your projects, clients etc.

    OH! Another piece of advice, CONTACT THEM!!!

    They have a toll-free number, US / INT'L and a local address and of course good old fashioned e-mail and ticketing system. Just ask a few easy questions that are more than likely obvious and see there response. Was it professional, well mannered or was it quick and snappy.

    & the pricing is great, especially for that small of a DC. BUT a few things throw me off, no bandwidth pricing? As well as the DC hardware ( the actual backend stuff, ) looks mega outdated, get with the times people!!! ( not you, but the DC. )

    I'll edit my post later on with more thoughts. If I were to say the actual servers are good or not.. I'd say yes, they're nice builds.

    Taking a short break on this. Currently fooling around with the idea to start up a new server with a few old friends... More news on this later.

    Anywho, in the meantime, I won't be working on this. Work should resume after the details for this server are ironed out, hopefully. :)

    I don't think moving to a client such as this is a good move. A lot of your market wants to feel as if theyre playing Runescape, not a similar knockoff.

    You'll need a TON more information that's VERY specific to enable the novice level programmers to even start to comprehend the systems you use. Other than that, Like I said in IRC Lemme know when I can start writing content scripts!! You're taking forever :(

    No offense and for the record, I actively use Apollo. I have a completed server built with 75% plugins in Ruby. Nothing against it besides me having to rewrite and write the core of most of the systems over and over and over.

    I've honestly stuck my hand into to many projects, and this project isn't a show of my best work. I also want to continue some day but on a much better base.

    Thanks everyone for the continued support! I had no idea you'd like the ideas so much!

    A ton of updates, I'll edit this post in a moment... :)

    Current updates, (a LOT more than i'm going to list.. :p)

    * Got a GFX artist to change some things (the background, the music sideicon will now be a "Construction building" icon. - Which is pretty much the construction skill icon enlarged and reshaped.)
    * Repacked a few things into the cache, way to many to full pack. - for now at least.
    * Made the client web client ready. :)
    * Fixed up some warnings - only 700 to go! ...
    * Fixed up some of the fishing trawler code,
    * Got rid of a LOT of the Client.java un needed and won't be ever needed code.
    * Fixed some networking issues, probably more. I will stress test in a few.
    * Made awesome SMF forums credits to my friend Fabrice. - Awesome profiles, highscores, a portal, shoutbox, players online, etc.. All integrated with the server. Also a custom Wall of Fame, and things like that. High scores can be viewed through individuals profiles.
    * Found a flaw in the logging system, fixed.
    * Fixed paths to be able to run on my brand spanking new 6GB RAM VPS! ( Made it Linux Ready p much )

    Still going, 2 redbulls later! Re-doing cooking in a moment.

    An anti-dupe system...? You mean packet validation?

    Didn't mean "system" as in validation just yet, but more of just some simple checks, I'm planning on taking further steps to stop duping etc but.. for now as this is just a simple project i'm doing (and probably won't host) I'm not even worried about it.
