    I haven't really seen a fully refactored client with an explanation of most of the mathematics and systems. Because no one who could wants to or has the time.

    iirc the name hash is used to determine a login server but that is irrelevant.

    UID is cached locally in a file named uid.dat (random.dat in newer clients), so unless you explicitly change this then yes the UID of two clients on the same machine would be the same

    the only user id that is discussed and documented in the rs2 login protocol on the rs wiki <_<

    The uid usually doesn't change the only exception is client hacking, bad programming, glitchy weirdness, or if you change it manually.

    Its a very bad old security system before rsa to make sure only your client could connect to your server because you set the uid on both supposedly preventing cheat clients or clients with extra features like noclip.

    So the uid only changes per new connection the client makes? Am I better off just ignoring it then?

    Also user id could mean the name hash as well as the randomly generated uid.

    The uid you're speaking of is generated if one does not already exist (random.dat) and that is the same until the uid is deleted.

    If the client reconnects using status code 18, does it send the same user ID it sent upon initial login?

    I assume yes because that's the only practical use the user id would have.

    EDIT: for the people maintaining the RS Wiki, at stage 3 of the login protocol there is 1 byte missing
    after "client version" the client also sends another byte indicating if the client is lowmem or highmem

    If you want to make a RS-clone, you don't know the work required.

    Yep, Bowser jr is right. It took several employees at Jagex to build RuneScape 2. You need someone who is good with graphics, sound, programming, ... and not a single employee (not even Andrew, I believe) comes close to being good with all of these.
    but asset devs are a dime a dozen engine devs like andrew are pretty rare. If you can build the engine getting the content for it is pretty easy.

    Simple, you use the other Sled which is usable. There are two. One which you can equip/use and one you cannot.

    From what I'm reading here you're trying to downcast the result of a Method (which may not even exist in the first place?) into a Class<T>. What type is T?
