    What direction are you going with fake players? and how real are you making them?

    At the very least I hope to have them at all major game spots as a way to guide the player through what they're doing. Probably have a combat minigame involving them, too.

    Load them into the game in massive amounts of numbers, playing all minigames, skilling, pking, standing around, fake player counter, boom.
    Perhaps on the rare occasion pursuing the right course demands an act of piracy, piracy itself can be the right course.

    I find this really interesting.

    I know RuneRebels has done this in an interesting way, but I do think it would be brilliant having ten or so fake players around the home area to give a new server more of a community feel. You could definitely achieve a lot of great things with this at your disposal in terms of starting up a new server.

    Not sure why you'd ever want to do this client-sided.
    hell you could do it clientside simply by throwing appearance updates into the bytebuffer. not sure why you would want to rewrite whats already available.
