    The original refactor is good. But if you're at the stage where you're adding new features then please consider using feature toggles. :)

    Two steps to do so:
    1. Create the feature toggle class.
    Code: [Select]
    public class SnowflakeFeatureToggle {
      public boolean isFeatureEnabled() {
        return true;
      }
    }

    2. Whenever doing something related to the feature, check the toggle:
    Code: [Select]
    SnowflakeFeatureToggle toggle = new SnowflakeFeatureToggle();
    if (toggle.isFeatureEnabled()) {
      // Show the snowflakes
    }

    It means people can go through with an IDE to remove the feature easily if they just want the vanilla version of your refactored client.

    Thanks for that. I wasn't entirely sure whether or not I'd be committing the features but if I do I'll follow the method above.

    It's a shame you stopped working on this

    15 years and still no completely deobfuscated client
    Then again, most rsps users aren't exactly programmers

    um not sure what you are talking about but between all the refactors out their you can put together a full refactored client. The biggest problem with 317 is that we do not have a completed cache anywhere due to the cache that is most commonly used didn't wait for the ondemand fetcher to finish.

    I haven't really seen a fully refactored client with an explanation of most of the mathematics and systems. Because no one who could wants to or has the time.

    the one that was on rune-server was pretty well refactored before they started to modify it it was on google code for years. https://code.google.com/archive/p/rename317/source/default/commits

    It's a moot point when it was a project done years ago.

    its actually not that bad if you go to the revision before they started fudgeing with the client code.

    No it isn't, it being old is not a defence

    if u've actually looked at it (and are actually familiar with the client) you will see most of it is total nonsense (and I'm not even including the opengl stuff they tried to throw on)

    and dont strawman thx

    Lol just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it's total nonsense.
