Eh? All he needs to do to rectify that issue is add a no-args constructor to the classes in question. I'm pretty sure that it can even be private and still work with XStream.

There is a way to fix it but the better question is.. why use divine 5.0?
RSC Update: JMods still lack interest. Lots and lots of debating.
Another Update: Jagex still doesn't a fk. GG Community

It's already been stated that you can't use Java 7 with this source... The only source that works with Java 7 is MoparClassic.
Eh? All he needs to do to rectify that issue is add a no-args constructor to the classes in question. I'm pretty sure that it can even be private and still work with XStream.
I'm pretty sure that doesn't fix it, seeing there was a bug in XStream and the reflection provider that was being used, which doesn't produce the same behavior.

Yea just providing an empty constructor does indeed solve this issue, I actually did it last week using the easy rsc source.

Whether there's an underlying bug or not will have no bearing on a compile-time issue like that one. The java API is written to specification, and backwards compatible. Which means that code that operated under older JVM versions will have the same semantics (with a few exceptions scattered about the place).

It's not a compile-time issue... It's a run-time issue caused solely by the vendor name changing in Java 7, which in turn caused XStream to return the wrong reflection provider, which behaves differently.

    i got 3 errors:
in the gameserver run i got
    Code: [Select]
    Build Failed
Target "runf2p" does not exist in the project "MoparClassic"
in the gameserver compiler i got
    Code: [Select]
    Build Failed
build.xml:53: Proglem: failed to create task or type antlib:org.apache.ivy.ant:retrive
    Cause: the name is undefined
    Action: check the spelling.
Action: check that any custom tasks/types hav ebeen declared
Action: Check that any <presetdef>/<macrodef> declarations have taken place.
No types or tasks have been defined in this namespace yet

this appears to be an antlib declaration.
Action: Ceck that the implementing library exists in one of:
    -C:\apache-ant-1.9.0\bin\.. \lib
    -C:\Users\Ruud\.ant\lib
-a directory added on command line with the -lib argument
in the loginserver run i got
    Code: [Select]
    Build Failed
Target "runls" does not exist in the project "LoginServer".
