Just finished up fishing and pushed it, it's pretty much complete except for fishing spots moving

    Code: Ruby
    1. =begin
    2. * Name: fishing_spots.rb
    3. * Creates the different fishing spot definitions
    4. * Author: Davidi2 (David Insley)

    Community help needed!

This will be the first of many times when we ask for help developing this from the community.

This task is to get as many fishing spawns as we can into the game! Take a look at this code:
    Code: Ruby
    1.     def create_spots
    2.       create_spot :smallnet_and_roddo
    3.         @npc_id = 316
    4.         @tools = [TOOLS[:small_net], TOOLS[:fishing_rod]]
    5.         @first_types = [FISH[:shrimp], FISH[:anchovy]]
    6.         @second_types = [FISH[:sardine], FISH[:herring]]
    7.       end
    8.       create_spot :flyrod_and_roddo
    9.         @npc_id = 309
    10.         @tools = [TOOLS[:fly_fishing_rod], TOOLS[:fishing_rod]]
    11.         @first_types = [FISH[:trout], FISH[:salmon]]
    12.         @second_types = [FISH[:pike]]
    13.       end
    14.       create_spot :cage_and_harpoondo
    15.         @npc_id = 312
    16.         @tools = [TOOLS[:lobster_cage], TOOLS[:harpoon]]
    17.         @first_types = [FISH[:lobster]]
    18.         @second_types = [FISH[:tuna], FISH[:swordfish]]
    19.       end
    20.       create_spot :bignet_and_harpoondo
    21.         @npc_id = 322
    22.         @tools = [TOOLS[:big_net], TOOLS[:harpoon]]
    23.         @first_types = [FISH[:mackerel], FISH[:cod], FISH[:bass]]
    24.         @second_types = [FISH[:shark]]
    25.       end
    26.       create_spot :harpoon_and_smallnetdo
    27.         @npc_id = 400#TODO find id
    28.         @tools = [TOOLS[:harpoon], TOOLS[:small_net]]
    29.         @first_types = [FISH[:tuna], FISH[:swordfish]]
    30.         @second_types = [FISH[:monkfish]]
    31.       end
    32.       spawn_spots
    33.     end
    34.
    35.     def spawn_spot(spot_type, x, y)
    36.       create_npc :normal, :id=> SPOTS[spot_type].npc_id, :position=> Position.new(x, y)
    37.     end
    38.
    39.     def spawn_spots
    40.
    41.     end

Notice how spawn_spots is empty? I need code in this format:
    spawn_spot(<spot_type_name>, <x>, <y>)
    Example
    Code: Ruby
    1. spawn_spot(:bignet_and_harpoon, 3333, 3333)
    2. spawn_spot(:flyrod_and_rod, 1234, 4321)
    3.
(just make sure the identifier is valid, there's only 5 types so far:
    :cage_and_harpoon
    :bignet_and_harpoon
    :harpoon_and_smallnet
    :flyrod_and_rod
    :smallnet_and_rod

and you can look above for the types of fish each one has

I hope some people will help us!

Can you dump down the logic for me so I can help tomorrow (or maybe today)?

Imma just basically convert this over from my server:

    Format:
    Code: Java
    1. int[] npcs, Fish[] possibleFishOption1, Fish[] possibleFishOption2, Item[] requiredItems
    2.
    Code:
    Code: Java
    1.         SMALL_NET_BAIT(newint[]{316, 319, 320, 323, 325, 326, 327, 330, 332}, new Fish[]{Fish.SHRIMP, Fish.ANCHOVIES}, new Fish[]{Fish.HERRING, Fish.SARDINE}, new Item[]{smallNet, fishingRod}),
    2.         LURE_BAIT(newint[]{309, 310, 311, 314, 315, 317, 318, 328, 329, 331}, new Fish[]{Fish.TROUT, Fish.SALMON}, new Fish[]{Fish.PIKE}, new Item[]{flyFishingRod, new Item(314)/* feather */, fishingRod}),
    3.         CAGE_HARPOON(newint[]{312, 321, 324, 333}, new Fish[]{Fish.LOBSTER}, new Fish[]{Fish.TUNA, Fish.SWORDFISH}, new Item[]{lobsterPot, harpoon}),
    4.         BIG_NET_HARPOON(newint[]{313}, new Fish[]{Fish.MACKEREL, Fish.BASS, Fish.COD}, new Fish[]{Fish.SHARK}, new Item[]{bigFishingNet, harpoon}),
    5.         SMALL_NET_HARPOON(newint[]{322, 334}, new Fish[]{Fish.MONKFISH}, new Fish[]{Fish.TUNA, Fish.SWORDFISH}, new Item[]{smallNet, harpoon});
    6.

Fish enum for those of you interested:

    Format:
    Code: Java
    1. Item fish, int exp, int levelRequired

    Code: Java

All I need is a list of npc spawns, but instead of in the format some servers use which is like this:
spawn = ID X Y WALKX WALKY etcetc

    I need

    spawn_spot(identifier, x, y)

    Identifier is one of these:
    Code: Ruby
    1. :cage_and_harpoon
    2. :bignet_and_harpoon
    3. :harpoon_and_smallnet
    4. :flyrod_and_rod
    5. :smallnet_and_rod

And you can figure out which one it is here:
http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Fishing_spot (bait = rod; lure = fly fishing rod)

EDIT - I already have all of those definitions in different files that I just didnt post, they are on the repo

    Code: Ruby
    1. spawn_spot(:cage_and_harpoon, 2836, 3431)
    2. spawn_spot(:bignet_and_harpoon, 2837, 3431)
    3. spawn_spot(:cage_and_harpoon, 2838, 3431)
    4. spawn_spot(:bignet_and_harpoon, 2844, 3429)
    5. spawn_spot(:cage_and_harpoon, 2845, 3429)
    6. spawn_spot(:cage_and_harpoon, 2859, 3426)
    7. spawn_spot(:smallnet_and_rod, 2853, 3423)
    8. spawn_spot(:smallnet_and_rod, 2845, 3423)
    9. spawn_spot(:smallnet_and_rod, 2855, 3423)
    10. spawn_spot(:smallnet_and_rod, 2860, 3426)
    11.

^from a list I had, not completely sure how accurate the spots are
iirc, there's two bignet/harpoon spots in catherby?
