    First off this is how you make it so one person only can spawn items on matrix.

    src>com>rs>game>player>content in commands.java search for "item" and change the code to this.

    Code: Java
    1.                         if(cmd[0].equalsIgnoreCase("item")||(player.getUsername().equalsIgnoreCase("troy"))|| player.getUsername().equalsIgnoreCase("test")){
    2.                                 if(cmd.length<2){
    3.                                    if(player.getRights()<=2)
    4.                                         player.getPackets().sendGameMessage(
    5.                                                         "Use: ::item id (optional:amount)");
    6.                                         returntrue;
    7.                                 }

    Where it says....

    Code: Java
    1. (player.getUsername().equalsIgnoreCase("troy"))|| player.getUsername().equalsIgnoreCase("test")){

    This means only "troy and "test" can spawn to add more people you can do it like this...

    Code: Java
    1. if(cmd[0].equalsIgnoreCase("item")||(player.getUsername().equalsIgnoreCase("name here"))|| player.getUsername().equalsIgnoreCase("name here")|| player.getUsername().equalsIgnoreCase("name here")|| player.getUsername().equalsIgnoreCase("name here")){

    so now 4 people are allowed to spawn this doe not include admins or mods

    done change "troy" and "test" to your character name's save and compile.

    =============================================================================
    now to show you how to make a female character

    First go to src>com>rs>game>player open Appearence.java and look for this

    Code: Java
    1.         publicvoid female(){

    change it to this.

    Code: Java
    1. publicvoid female(){
    2.                 look[0]=48;// Hair
    3.                 look[1]=57;// Beard
    4.                 look[2]=57;// Torso
    5.                 look[3]=65;// Arms
    6.                 look[4]=68;// Bracelets
    7.                 look[5]=77;// Legs
    8.                 look[6]=80;// Shoes
    9.
    10.                 colour[2]=16;
    11.                 colour[1]=16;
    12.                 colour[0]=3;
    13.                 male =false;
    14.         }

    save and exit now go to.

    src>com>rs>game>player>content open commands.java and add this.

    Code: Java
    1. if(cmd[0].equalsIgnoreCase("female")){
    2.                 player.getAppearence().female();
    3.                                 }
    4. if(cmd[0].equalsIgnoreCase("male")){
    5.                 player.getAppearence().male();
    6.                                 }

    Were is says....

                    look[0] = 48; // Hair
                    look[1] = 57; // Beard
                    look[2] = 57; // Torso
                    look[3] = 65; // Arms
                    look[4] = 68; // Bracelets
                    look[5] = 77; // Legs
                    look[6] = 80; // Shoes

    look[0] = 48;//hair this is the hair style so u can look on a 525 or 317 server for different hair styles and u can edit what the character looks like same with beard, torso, arms, bracelets, legs and shoes under it is the skin colour you can also change to what ever you like...

     save exit and compile now your female character will look like this.

    =============================================================================
    Okay now this is teaching you how to add new shops and custom npc's yes i know there are better ways but this is simple.

    Go to src>com>rs>

    in NPCSpawning.java file u will see this code

    Code: Java
    1. World.spawnNPC(554, new WorldTile(3091, 3502, 0), -1, true, true);

    554 = npc id
    3091 = x coords
    3502 = y coords
    0 = npc hight you dont change it and true is weather u want the npc to move or not

    now u have added a new npc time to make the shop interface

    Now go to src>com>rs>net>decoders>handler and open NPCHandler.java and search for

    Code: Java
    1. elseif(npc.getId()==11270)
    2. ShopsHandler.openShop(player, 19);

    copy it and past it under it NOTE: 11270 is the npc id and 19 is the shop change the 19 to 22 since there are 21 shops already change the npc id to the one u have just made in npcspawning then save and exit

    last part go to data>items folder delete packedShops.s and open up unpackedShops.txt

    u see the numbers down the side going from 1 to 21 make a new shop with the next number 22 995 is the shop currency = $ and then shop name then item id then stock amount.

    In unpackedshops.txt file there will be a collum on the left with numbers from 1 to 22 these are how many shops there are already on the server. So when making a new shop you would put 23,24,25 ect...
    so in npchandler.java u will be changing this code...

    Code: Java
    1. elseif(npc.getId()==11270)
    2. ShopsHandler.openShop(player, 19);

    to 23,24,25 and so on.....

    save and exit then compile and run new shop and npc.

    ==============================================================================
    Okay this is adding objects to the server also a simpler way of doing this but this is more easy to follow.

    Go to src>com>rs>utils open NPCSpawning.Java search for.

    Code: Java
    1.                 World.spawnObject(new WorldObject(17010, 10, 0, 3154, 3484, 0), true);
    2.

    okay now copy at code and past under it.

    17010 = object id
    0        = the way it faces
    3154   = xcoords
    3484   = ycoords

    Tip for object faces.

    0 = South
    1 = West
    2 = North
    3 = East

    World.spawnObject(new WorldObject(17010, 10, 0, 3154, 3484, 0), true);

    This just means you are spawning a new object each time you turn the server on.. it's facing "south" and is placed at "3154xcoord 3484ycoord"

    save and compile.

    ==============================================================================
    Now this is showing you how to edit prices

    Okay first we are going to edit itemsDefinitions.java you can find it here

    src>com>rs>cache>loaders

    once u have opened the file go to the bottom before the last bracket that looks like this } move it down by pressing enter and put this code above it

    Code: Java
    1. publicvoid setValue(int value){
    2.         this.value= value;
    3.         }

    then save and exit the file now we are going to edit shops.java you can find this here

    src>com>rs>game>player>content

    find this code

    Code: Java
    1. publicint getBuyPrice(Item item, int dq){

    and change it to this

    Code: Java
    1.         publicint getBuyPrice(Item item, int dq){
    2.                 switch(item.getId()){
    3.                 case1050://item id
    4.                         item.getDefinitions().setValue(5000000);//buying price
    5.                         break;
    6.                 }
    7.                 return item.getDefinitions().getValue();
    8.         }
    9.

    okay where it say's "1050" this is the item id so change it to what ever u want
    where it says setValue(5000000); this is the item buying price change it to what ever you like....

    okay now once u have change it in the same file find this code

    Code: Java
    1. publicint getSellPrice(Item item, int dq){

    it should be right under the one u just edited and change it to this

    Code: Java
    1.         publicint getSellPrice(Item item, int dq){
    2.                 switch(item.getId()){
    3.                 case1050://item id
    4.                         item.getDefinitions().setValue(5000000);//selling price
    5.                         break;
    6.                 }
    7.                 return item.getDefinitions().getValue()/2;
    8.         }

    same this as abouve change the "1050" to the item u wish to change price of but this time it is the selling price file and save it then compile and your done.

    to add multiple items at once insted of adding every item in one by one do it like this.

    Code: Java
    1.                 case1050:
    2.                         item.getDefinitions().setValue(95000000);
    3.                         break;
    4.                 case11726:
    5.                         item.getDefinitions().setValue(10);
    6.                         break;
    7.                 case11728:
    8.                         item.getDefinitions().setValue(15);
    9.                         break;
    10.                 }

                    case 11728:
                            item.getDefinitions().setValue(15);
                            break;

    this means 11728 is the item id and it is worth 15gp's... save you from hard coding everything item in

    save and compile.

    ==============================================================================
    Now this is how you add a starter to the server

    Go to src>com>rs>game>player open Player.java and search for.

    Code: Java
    1.         publicvoid run(){

    and change it to this.

    Code: Java
    1.         publicvoid run(){
    2.                 if(World.exiting_start!=0){
    3.                         int delayPassed =(int)((Utils.currentTimeMillis()- World.exiting_start)/1000);
    4.                         getPackets().sendSystemUpdate(World.exiting_delay- delayPassed);
    5.                 }
    6.                 lastIP = getSession().getIP();
    7.                 interfaceManager.sendInterfaces();
    8.                 getPackets().sendRunEnergy();
    9.                 refreshAllowChatEffects();
    10.                 refreshMouseButtons();
    11.                 refreshPrivateChatSetup();
    12.                 sendRunButtonConfig();
    13.                 getPackets()
    14.                                 .sendGameMessage("Welcome to "+ Settings.SERVER_NAME+".");
    15.                 if(donator || donatorTill !=0){
    16.                         if(!donator && donatorTill < Utils.currentTimeMillis())
    17.                                 getPackets().sendGameMessage("Your donator rank expired.");
    18.                         else
    19.                                 getPackets().sendGameMessage(
    20.                                                 "Your donator rank expires "+ getDonatorTill());
    21.                                                 }
    22.                 if(starter ==0){
    23.             getInventory().addItem(995, 500000);
    24.             starter =1;
    25.             }
    26.
    27.                 sendDefaultPlayersOptions();
    28.                 checkMultiArea();
    29.                 inventory.init();
    30.                 equipment.init();
    31.                 skills.init();
    32.                 combatDefinitions.init();
    33.                 prayer.init();
    34.                 friendsIgnores.init();
    35.                 Notes.sendUnlockNotes(this);
    36.                 refreshHitPoints();
    37.                 prayer.refreshPrayerPoints();
    38.                 getPoison().refresh();
    39.                 getPackets().sendConfig(281, 1000);// unlock can't do this on tutorial
    40.                 getPackets().sendConfig(1160, -1);// unlock summoning orb
    41.                 getPackets().sendGameBarStages();
    42.                 musicsManager.init();
    43.                 emotesManager.refreshListConfigs();
    44.                 if(currentFriendChatOwner !=null){
    45.                         FriendChatsManager.joinChat(currentFriendChatOwner, this);
    46.                         if(currentFriendChat ==null)// failed
    47.                                 currentFriendChatOwner =null;
    48.                         // clanWars = new ClanWars();
    49.                 }
    50.                 if(familiar !=null)
    51.                         familiar.respawnFamiliar(this);
    52.                 running =true;
    53.                 updateMovementType =true;
    54.                 appearence.generateAppearenceData();
    55.                 controlerManager.login();// checks what to do on login after welcome
    56.                 OwnedObjectManager.linkKeys(this);
    57.                 // screen
    58.         }
    59.
    60.                 publicint starter =0;

    Where it says..

    Code: Java
    1.                 if(starter ==0){
    2.             getInventory().addItem(995, 500000);
    3.             starter =1;
    4.             }

    995      = money
    500000 = 500k

    to add more to the starter do this.

    Code: Java
    1.                 if(starter ==0){
    2.             getInventory().addItem(item id, how much of the item you give);
    3.             getInventory().addItem(item id, how much of the item you give);
    4.             getInventory().addItem(item id, how much of the item you give);
    5.             starter =1;
    6.             }

    getInventory().addItem just means that it will give you an item and put it in your invintory..

    save comple.

    This is what the starter will look like....

    ==============================================================================
    Okay this is how you add or remove donator items

    Go to src>com>rs Open Settings.java and search for.

    Code: Java
    1.         publicstaticString[] DONATOR_ITEMS ={"primal", /* "vitus", "pernix", */
    2.         "promethium", "(i)", "thok's", "trident"};

    now either remove or add items buy adding this "item name", "item name" ..... ect

    save comple.

    ==============================================================================
    Now this is how to change home and respawning

    Go to src>som>rs Open settings.java and search for.

    This is home location

    Code: Java
    1.         publicstaticfinal WorldTile START_PLAYER_LOCATION =new WorldTile(3094,3502,0);

    3094 = xcoords
    3502 = ycoords

    Now for respawning location in the same file search for.

    Code: Java
    1.         publicstaticfinal WorldTile RESPAWN_PLAYER_LOCATION =new WorldTile(3094,3502, 0);

    same as above

    3094 = xcoords
    3502 = ycoords

    ==============================================================================
    Now we are going to make a quick tut on how to jar sign the 667 client and a simple php webclient code

    okay first download jar maker you can download it here...

     Jar Maker

    Go to your client src folder and find Loader.java change the ip to yours and comple once done run to test it if it connects to your ip.... now download the Jar Maker

    click on either one of the 3 links and your download will start...

    Now once you have extracted it to your desktop run the Jar Maker file... Make a new folder on your desktop called webclient and lets start....

    press Putput Directory and select the webclient folder you had just made on the desktop click ok.

    Now press Input Directory find your client folder then select the bin folder and press ok.

    Now click Manifest Template and put in loader then press ok.

    Yours should now look like this...

    so that is good now we can move on to the next step...

    Click jarsigner location and Go here "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\bin" select on jarsigner press ok.

    Now click on Generate keystore...

    Click on Output keystore file: and put it in your webclient folder before you save it change the name from jarsigner.exe to keystore and press ok.

    Put your webclient name in the keystore alis:

    Public key and Prive key must have the same password can be anything you want but you must remeber it for this next step... press Generate keystore...

    once it is complete and done it should look like this..

    remember the password you put in public and privte key put it in the same like this as showen...

    Now go to jar maker and press create jar click yes like this...

    and you should get a sucessfully created at: blah blah blah... like this...

    Now go back to Jar signer and press Sign jar click yes as above and should be done like this...

    In you webclient folder you should have a singed jar client like this..

    Congratulations you have just jar singed your client and is now ready to be uploaded to you website :)

    here is a simple html code for your website webclient if you don't know how to make one..

    Code: HTML
    1. webclient name here
    2. <body onbeforeunload="javascript:alert('Be sure your account is logged out before closing this page!');">
    3. <appletname="webclient name here"width="100%"height="100%"archive="Your webclient jar name.jar"code="loader.class" mayscript="">
    4. <paramname="worldid"value="2"/>
    5. <paramname="members"value="1"/>
    6. <paramname="modewhat"value="2"/>
    7. <paramname="modewhere"value="2"/>
    8. <paramname="safemode"value="1"/>
    9. <paramname="lang"value="0"/>
    10. <paramname="affid"value="0"/>
    11. <paramname="settings"value="ROEqp2kbj*NX9PSCbdgpOvokkMwrCkXjg3c6KXgaLZY"/>
    12. <paramname="cookieprefix"value=""/>
    13. <paramname="cookiehost"value=".google.com"/>
    14. <paramname="plug"value="0"/>
    15. <paramname="js"value="1"/>
    16. <paramname="game"value="0"/>
    17. <paramname="colourid"value="0"/>
    18. </body>
    19. </html>

    Now we are going to make a html site for your webclient :)

    First go to www.webs.com and register once you have done that go Create on the top right courner.

    Now press HTML-Only Mode on the top right courner.

    Fill in the once u have filled in the code press Create my website.

    Then it will say free subdomain webs.com put in ur site name u want and create your website.

    Now edit the index.html code and past the webclietn code there and press save... we are nearly finished now all we have to do is upload your jar signed client to the site and you have a working webclient :D

    Okay go to single filer uploader find your singed jar directory and upload it now you can play on your working webclient.. hooraaayyyyyyy

    Simple way of changing and adding new shop currency's

    Okay first we want to add a new currency to the server so we are going to open Shops.java

    this can be found here src>com>rs>game>player>content

    where you see this code here

    Code: Java
    1.         publicstaticfinalint COINS =995;

    When u click on a items in a shop it will have a server message saying how much its worth and what currency it is for this case it is Coins server message would say something like item cost 500,000.000 Coins.

    So copy the code and where it says COINS change it to your currency name e.g. SANTA_HAT or DRAGON_BOOT then the item id so 995 for coins and 1050 for santa hat and dragon boots are 11733 ect...

    If your currency has a space in it you must put a _ there insted of a space for it to compile with no errors.

    now you have added your currency save and exit time to add this currency to a new shop so go to Data>items folder and delete packedshops.s and edit unpackedshops.txt

    Where it says "22 995 false - range shop - 1050 1000"

    22 is the shop number 995 is the currenct false lets the npc walk - shop name - item id - shop stock  ect... change the 995 to your new currency you just made and save comple and play :) here is my test so you can all see

    Nice release, although none of your code is explained wich makes it technically a snippet. You should explain your code although it's the basic. Tutorials are there so people can learn something from it, not C&P it.

    I'd rep++ if it was explained, all I see is a bunch of snippets tbh.

    I still suggest you explain your code otherwise a mod will probably lock it and tell you to post it in the snippets section.

    Explain what need's to have more detail if not i'n not botherd if it needs to be moved this is better as snippets section isn't neet or tidy with everyone else's post's making a new thread seams liek a better idea

    Nice thread.
    You can explain it a bit more, though. Not everybody knows what some of the shit does and some people may want to learn.
