    How do I work this? I haven't had much experience with including java libs, but when I get it, it goes. Anyways, How do I execute it. what would be some sample code to implement it? What should my dirstructure be? should I unpack the JARs? If this bothers anyone, I am sorry, I just don't want to take 5 hours trying to figure it out. please don't bash on me, I am trying to get this to run.

    I forgot to mention that I can write java, I just don't know what I'm doing, and I want to know. If you don't have time, point me to a good client source. I based my current client off of Galkon's client, but it crashes when jarred.

    Update: I can work it. i'll smash the 317 source into IDEA and see which are executable, then go from there.

    The 317 and 508 clients are included with full source, so they should give you an idea what to do.  If you have any questions post here.
    I tried to compile the 508 version, and it gives me this:
    Quote
    .\org\moparscape\userver\Server.java:23: cannot find symbol
    symbol  : class MainPanel
    location: package org.moparscape
    import org.moparscape.MainPanel;
                         ^
    .\org\moparscape\userver\Server.java:171: cannot find symbol
    symbol  : variable MainPanel
    location: class org.moparscape.userver.Server
            if (MainPanel.debug()) {
                ^
    Note: Some input files use unchecked or unsafe operations.
    Note: Recompile with -Xlint:unchecked for details.
    2 errors

    Is something wrong? are files missing?

    Comment it out, you don't need it.  I'll fix this in the next release.

    You must be joking, right?  You run this by going to the web page and it runs as an applet, obviously MoparScapeSources.jar is not meant to be ran and, instead, has SOURCE CODE in it...

    Hello and welcome to the new era of RuneScape private servers.

    On a more serious note, when do you plan on adding support for users to have their own clients?

    I already do support it, they just need to implement the ClientInterface.  Do I not explain it well enough?  Write something to help me explain it better please. :)

    I was thinking more along the lines where you could link to a client and cache on the client would load them.
    I thought that's what you planned on implementing. :O

    I did, go to the moparscape 4 applet page and click 'show developers options' or the like, you can link to a client and cache and they will run inside of moparscape.

    Can you join a private server offline?  Anyway, your web browser should cache the page and enable you to play offline if you want, I cache everything to your hard drive, including the backgrounds and clients.

    Have you recieved a 484 server/client? If not, do I need to include the classes that are implemented in the server and client files, or will you add them?

    I haven't received that version yet, and no, moparscape already has the interfaces it will provide to the client and server so they don't need to be included in the client and server jar.
